Ancestor Festival? Why haven't I heard of this festival when I'm so old?

Shimen River Geocentric Valley Scenic Area will hold the first "China Jianshi International Ancestor Culture Tourism Festival" on the Qingming Holiday on April 6.

The first "China Jianshi International Ancestor Cultural Tourism Festival" was jointly created by Jianshi County Tourism Bureau, Jianshi County Cultural and Sports New Guangzhou Bureau, Jianshi County Gaoping Town People's Government and Shimen River Gexingu Scenic Area. The festival aims at displaying the splendid ancestor culture and Tujia folk customs for tourists. It will show the "opening ceremony", "ceremony speech", "respecting the ancestors" in turn. Folklore activities such as offering sacrifices, offering sacrifices to Gaoxiang, reading sacrifices to ancestors, worshipping ancestors altogether, praying for life, ten brothers and sisters of the Tujia family, and twelve golden children and jade girls participated in the sacrificial worship.
